Cabinet makers are listed on the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).
Cabinet making offers excellent employment opportunities both in Australia and globally. The high demand for skilled workers and strong job growth, coupled with recent booms in construction, makes it a great field to pursue.
Most cabinet makers focus on producing installations for kitchens, bathrooms, and retail shop fittings, which are then constructed on-site. They typically work in factories to fabricate these components, as opposed to carpenters, who are involved in larger structural construction projects directly on-site and may relocate for different jobs.
