Panel beaters perform a wide variety of tasks, requiring a broad set of skills. They are capable of repairing everything from minor dents and scratches to complete rebuilds of exterior panels. An exciting part of this profession includes classic car restoration and customization, offering the opportunity to apply a creative touch to the trade. This allows panel beaters to develop their own designs and ideas using a range of materials.

Accepted tests include IELTS, PTE, and others. For IELTS, a minimum overall score of 6.0, with no band below 5.5, is needed. The test results must be valid within two years at the time of the visa application. Some institutions offer an in-house English Placement Test to meet the entry requirements.
Exemptions apply if:
– The applicant holds a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland.
– The applicant is enrolled in a principal course of study, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course delivered in a language other than English, or a registered postgraduate research course.
– The applicant has completed at least five years of education in English in any of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
