Certificate III in Carpentry

In this course, you’ll learn how to construct, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures for residential, commercial and industrial developments. You will work with a range of tools, equipment and materials to construct frames for walls and ceilings, construct pitched and advanced roofs and eaves, and erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on the ground. Gain the skills and knowledge required to work as carpenter in the building and construction industry. According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, carpentry skills are in demand with employers finding it hard to fill vacancies for qualified carpenters and joiners. This is a very large occupation with around 69,000 job openings expected over the next five years.

Certificate III of Engineering – Fabrication Trade

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required for employment as an Engineering Tradesperson – Fabrication within the metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries or other industries where Engineering Tradespersons – Fabrication work. The duration of the 094822F Certificate III in Engineering is 20 contact hours per week for 94 weeks (training and work placement) and 18 weeks of holidays throughout the course.

The qualification is designed for students wishing to enter the Metal and engineering industry for roles including Boilermaker, Welder, Sheet Metal Worker and Fabrication Engineer. This course covers relevant employability skills.
