Hobart

Studying the right trade course in Hobart can lead to a rewarding career in an in-demand field with strong permanent visa opportunities.

Hobart is a city that celebrates diversity, attracting people from all over the world to live in Tasmania. It’s small enough to foster a strong sense of community but large enough to offer the conveniences of a bigger city.

Studying in Hobart gives you the chance to gain an education in a vibrant and modern setting while living a life full of adventure, with everything you need close by. The cost of living is more affordable due to the city’s smaller size.

As a resident of Hobart, you’ll have easy access to boutique shops, trendy cafes, restaurants, weekly markets, and a host of lively festivals, events, and world-class museums and art galleries. Tasmanians are passionate about sports and outdoor activities, so if you enjoy being part of a sports or community group, you’ll feel right at home.

Since Hobart is classified as a regional area, students can earn an additional 5 points on the Australian Immigration Points Test for studying in a regional location, with the potential to apply for a Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491).
